This report looks at the results of how adults choose a summer holiday destination in relation to their reasons for picking a destination.
First of all comparing the results for men and women, it can be seen that some factors affect both groups more or less equally, for example , there is no difference in how price, good local food and friends recommended it influence in their choice of selecting a destination.
There are, however, significant differences in the result for other factors as sports facilities and attractive advertisement is far more important for men than for women, as is the near water and interesting local culture.
It appears that despite the differences, there is a factor which has a relatively high importance for women and men: the good local food in the destination. Given this, it can be concluded that adults are more influenced by food than the price or friends recommendations.
